Why we don’t charge a flat monthly subscription
Most online TRT clinics advertise a flat monthly price — commonly somewhere between $99 and $250 per month — that bundles the visit, the medication, and sometimes labs into one subscription. That model has real appeal: one predictable number. It also has a catch: you keep paying the bundle price every month whether or not you needed a visit that month, the medication inside the bundle is chosen from what the clinic stocks, and the subscription usually continues until you actively cancel.
We price the medical care itself. You pay for the evaluation and the follow-ups you actually have, your prescription is filled at a pharmacy under your own name at the pharmacy’s cash price, and labs are ordered when your case needs them — not on a fixed schedule designed around a bundle. For most men on injection-based TRT, the all-in monthly math works out comparable to or below the subscription clinics, and every line item is visible.
The honest caveat: if you want a single flat number and never want to see a pharmacy receipt, a subscription clinic gives you that. If you want an hour with a provider, labs interpreted beyond a single total-T value, and control over where your prescription is filled, that’s what we do.
What a typical first three months looks like
1. Initial consultation — $129. Up to a full hour: symptoms, history, and a lab plan. No labs required before this visit.
2. Baseline lab work. Drawn at a location near you, billed at the lab’s cash rate. We order the panel your case needs — total and free testosterone, SHBG, estradiol, and related markers.
3. Follow-up — $100. Lab review and, if TRT is appropriate, your prescription sent to a pharmacy with fair cash pricing. Texas limits testosterone prescriptions to a 90-day supply, so ongoing care includes periodic follow-ups and monitoring labs.

Cost Questions, Answered
How much does TRT cost in Texas?
With our practice, the initial testosterone consultation is $129 for up to a full hour and follow-up visits are $100 for 30 minutes. Lab work and medication are billed separately at the lab’s and pharmacy’s own cash prices — typically making the all-in monthly cost comparable to or lower than subscription TRT clinics, without a membership fee.
What does the $129 initial consultation include?
Up to a full hour with a board-certified nurse practitioner: symptom and health-history review, a lab plan tailored to you, and a treatment discussion once results are in. It is a medical evaluation, not a sales call — if your labs don’t support TRT, we’ll tell you that and talk about what else could explain your symptoms.
Does insurance cover TRT?
We are a cash-pay practice and do not bill insurance directly. TRT evaluation and follow-up visits are HSA/FSA-eligible, and we provide a superbill you can submit to your insurer for potential reimbursement. Many insurance plans restrict testosterone coverage or require levels below a strict cutoff, which is one reason much of TRT in the U.S. is paid cash.
How much does testosterone medication itself cost?
Medication is filled at a pharmacy under your name and billed by the pharmacy, not by us. Cash prices for testosterone cypionate injections are commonly modest per month at compounding and retail pharmacies; topical preparations generally cost more than injections. Your prescription goes to a pharmacy with fair cash pricing, and you’ll know the cost before you commit.
Are labs included in the price?
No — lab work is billed separately at the lab’s cash rate, and we coordinate the draw at a location near you. Expect baseline labs before treatment and periodic monitoring labs while on therapy. We order the panel your case actually needs rather than a fixed bundle.
